During the Summer of 2022, Myles started photographing his mother’s vegetable garden at her home in Southern Maryland. The resulting photographs weave compositions of growth, decay, and new beginnings amidst her cultivation of the land. Myles’s camera moves through a personal Eden from a vantage point of the flora that inhabits it.
Including a short story written by Joseph Grantham, ‘so many beautiful reasons’ is an ode to the garden and the gardener with love and adoration.
